Viewed from Cold Pike, the long ridge of Wet Side Edge and Little and Great Carrs leads for around 4 kilometres above the Greenburn valley up to the magnificent rock eyrie of Swirl How. Just visible through the gap of Swirl Hawse, at the foot of Swirl How's Prison Band, is Coniston Old Man, while Grey Friar keeps a look-out to the right.
