Description

This powerful sculpture was a sketch-model for a larger version of the same subject. Created during Ophelia's early days in London, the inspiration came from seeing a shire horse being backed reluctantly into the shafts of a milk float. As well as being a brilliant representation of a man struggling to control a horse, the figures are also thought to be a metaphor for the battle between our conscious and our instinctive selves.

Height 25cms, 3.4kg
